I think the amendment is still important today since it allows everyone to have the right to defend themselves However I think the scope of the amendment should not be as broad as it is Since weapons pose such a dangerous risk they should be controlled I think that gun ownership in this country needs to be much more restricted and that many types of weapons should be made illegal
The right to bear arms is a personal responsibility as well as a right Each person must decide what they need and how they will be responsible for their actions You must care for your weapon as well as how you use it Be responsible
As long as they werent denied their rights under the fifth amendment they can be denied their right to own a firearmmy own words At least thats how the supreme court has ruled RE Interesting twist the 5th Good point I would expect so It would be interesting to hear an argument as to why this would not be the case
